Chromebooks 101
- Beginner- All participants will be able to perform the basic functions and operations of using a Chromebook. All participants will be able to navigate through the Chromebook’s features to find and later use the specified applications.
Google Drive
- Beginner- Participants will explore Google Drive and locate where Google Drive is on their Chromebook in the apps and/or shortcuts. Participants will learn how to access it and learn the basic functions for how to use it.
- Intermediate/ Advanced- Participants will learn how to create folders in Google Drive and how to share with or add other people to collaboratively edit and create different document works.
DAY 2
Google Docs
- All levels- Participants will be able to create a Google Doc. Participants will learn how to use the basic functions of a Google Doc and learn how to manipulate a Google Doc to best suit their needs.
Google Sheets
- All levels- Participants will be able to create a Google Sheets file. Participants will also learn how to use the basic functions of Google Sheets and learn how to manipulate Google Sheets to best suit their needs.
Google Slides
- All levels- Participants will be able to create a Google Slides presentation. Participants will learn how to use the basic functions of a Google Slides and learn how to manipulate a Google Slides presentation to best suit their needs.
Google Forms
- All levels- Participants will be able to create a Google Form. Participants will learn how to use the basic functions of a Google Forms and learn how to manipulate a Google Form to best suit their needs.
DAY 3
Google Classroom
- Beginner- Teachers will be able to know and use the basic functions of Google Classroom to create a collaborative and highly accessible e-learning space.
- Intermediate/ Advanced- Teachers will be able to create and upload files using previously learned Google Apps to set up their Google Classroom. Teachers will be able to share their online classroom spaces with their students, parents, and other relevant staff members.
Google Apps for Education
- Beginner- Participants will be able to locate and access Google Apps for Education. Participants will also explore several Google Apps for Education.
- Intermediate/ Advanced- Participants will learn how to choose which Google Apps for Education will benefit their teaching and/or students and enhance learning.
DAY 4
Promethean Board
- Beginner- Participants will learn the basic functions of the Promethean board and how to use and navigate the accompanying software, ActivInspire. Participants will be able to create a basic flipchart.
- Intermediate/ Advanced- Participants will learn how to use and implement more advanced functions of the software ActivInspire to add media elements, graphics, audio, and other software features to their flipcharts for enhanced student learning.
DAY 5
Online Gradebook
- All levels- Teachers and Specialists will be able to use the basic functions of the Online Gradebook to input and analyze student data. Participants will learn how to generate different reports using the gradebook to show various data.
Evernote App
- Intermediate/ Advanced- Participants will locate and download the app Evernote from the Google App store. Participants will learn the general functions of Evernote and how to use this specific app to collect and gather student data and other notes in one place.
